Introduction

Welcome to Orbit! These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") establish the standards and expectations for all users of the Orbit platform, including guests (users who book activities) and hosts (users who offer activities). By using Orbit, you agree to follow these Guidelines and help create a safe, respectful, and welcoming community.

These Guidelines are grounded in Orbit's Company Values and Mission Statement, which prioritize safety, platonic clarity, human flourishing, dignity, and integrity above all else.

These Guidelines apply to all users. Hosts must also comply with the Host Guidelines, which contain additional requirements specific to hosting activities.

Our Core Principles

These principles guide everything we do at Orbit and are the foundation of our community standards.

1. Safety Is Sacred

Community safety is our highest priority. Orbit exists only if people feel safe, protected, and respected. Any behavior that introduces risk, ambiguity, or harm is not tolerated, regardless of intent.

2. Platonic Clarity Builds Trust

Orbit is exclusively for platonic connections. All interactions, activities, and communications must be appropriate for friendly companionship only. There is no room for romantic or sexual intent, advances, or ambiguity.

3. Respect and Kindness

Treat all community members with respect and dignity. Orbit is a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds, identities, and circumstances. Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior is never acceptable.

4. Authenticity and Honesty

Be genuine and honest in all interactions. Use accurate profile information, communicate truthfully, and represent yourself authentically. Misrepresentation erodes trust and harms the community.

5. Human Flourishing Over Engagement

We design for well-being, not addiction. Orbit is built to help people feel more connected, energized, and hopeful in their real lives, not to maximize screen time or create dependency.

User Behavior Expectations

Expected Behavior

All users are expected to:

  • Be respectful - Treat all community members with kindness and dignity

  • Be honest - Provide accurate information and communicate truthfully

  • Be safe - Prioritize safety in all interactions and activities

  • Be platonic - Maintain clear platonic boundaries at all times

  • Be responsible - Honor commitments, follow through on bookings, and communicate clearly

  • Be inclusive - Welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and circumstances

  • Be supportive - Help create a positive, welcoming community environment

Community Standards

Orbit is a community built on trust, safety, and mutual respect. We expect all users to:

  • Respect boundaries - Honor others' boundaries and communicate your own clearly

  • Communicate clearly - Be transparent about expectations, availability, and intentions

  • Show up - Honor confirmed bookings and commitments

  • Be punctual - Arrive on time for scheduled activities

  • Be present - Engage authentically during activities, not just digitally

  • Report concerns - Help maintain community safety by reporting violations

Profile Guidelines

Profile Accuracy

All users must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete profile information

  • Use recent photos that accurately represent your current appearance

  • Keep profile information up to date as circumstances change

  • Not use misleading, fraudulent, or inappropriate content

Profile Photos

  • Use clear, high-quality images that show your face

  • Use recent photos that accurately represent you

  • Do not use photos of other individuals without authorization

  • Do not use heavily edited, misleading, or inappropriate photos

  • Photos may be reviewed for authenticity (AI-assisted review)

Bio and Introduction

  • Write authentically about yourself

  • Be honest and accurate in your description

  • Keep your bio appropriate and respectful

  • Do not include false, misleading, or inappropriate content

Communication Guidelines

In-App Messaging

All communications on Orbit must:

  • Be respectful - Use appropriate, respectful, and professional language

  • Be platonic - Maintain clear platonic boundaries in all communications

  • Be timely - Respond to messages in a reasonable timeframe

  • Be clear - Communicate expectations, availability, and intentions clearly

  • Be safe - Do not share personal contact information until appropriate

Prohibited Communications

You must not:

  • Send romantic or sexual messages, advances, or content

  • Use harassing, abusive, or discriminatory language

  • Send spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content

  • Request payments or transactions outside the Platform

  • Share personal contact information before a booking is confirmed

  • Use inappropriate, offensive, or explicit language or content

Communication Best Practices

  • Be clear about expectations - Communicate what you're looking for and what you can offer

  • Ask questions - Clarify details about activities, availability, and logistics

  • Respect boundaries - Honor others' communication preferences and boundaries

  • Be patient - Allow reasonable time for responses

  • Be professional - Maintain respectful, appropriate communication at all times

Booking Guidelines

For Guests

When booking activities, you agree to:

  • Read listings carefully - Understand activity details, pricing, and requirements before booking

  • Honor confirmed bookings - Show up on time for scheduled activities

  • Communicate clearly - Ask questions and communicate any concerns or changes

  • Follow cancellation policies - Respect host cancellation policies and communicate cancellations promptly

  • Be respectful - Treat hosts with respect and kindness during activities

  • Report issues - Report any safety concerns or policy violations immediately

Booking Commitments

  • Confirmed bookings are commitments - Both guests and hosts are expected to honor confirmed bookings

  • Cancellations should be rare - Only cancel in genuine emergencies or unavoidable circumstances

  • Communicate early - If you must cancel, do so as early as possible

  • Respect policies - Follow cancellation policies and understand refund terms

Rescheduling

  • Guests may request rescheduling - Subject to host settings and availability

  • Rescheduling must be timely - Complete rescheduling at least 24 hours before the scheduled time (or as specified by the host)

  • Respect host limits - Hosts may set limits on reschedules per booking

  • Communicate clearly - Explain the reason for rescheduling when requested

No-Shows

  • No-shows are not acceptable - Always show up for confirmed bookings or cancel in advance

  • No-shows harm the community - They waste hosts' time and prevent other guests from booking

  • Consequences apply - No-shows may result in account review, suspension, or termination

Safety Guidelines

Personal Safety

Orbit prioritizes safety above all else. All users must:

  • Meet in public places - For first-time meetings, choose public, well-lit locations

  • Tell someone - Inform a friend or family member about your plans

  • Trust your instincts - If something feels wrong, leave or cancel

  • Report concerns - Report any safety concerns immediately to Orbit and local authorities if necessary

  • Follow local laws - Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Safety During Activities

  • Stay in public spaces - Unless the activity specifically requires a private location (and you're comfortable)

  • Keep communications on-platform - Use in-app messaging until you're comfortable sharing contact information

  • Set boundaries - Communicate your boundaries clearly and respect others' boundaries

  • Leave if uncomfortable - You have the right to leave any activity if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable

  • Report violations - Report any safety violations or inappropriate behavior immediately

Safety Resources

If you experience or witness:

  • Immediate danger - Contact local emergency services (911 in the US)

  • Safety concerns - Report to Orbit immediately through in-app reporting or support@orbitplatformhq.com

  • Policy violations - Use in-app reporting features or contact support

  • Harassment or abuse - Report immediately and consider contacting local authorities

Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Orbit and will result in immediate account suspension or termination:

Platonic Violations

  • Romantic or sexual services - Orbit is exclusively platonic

  • Romantic or sexual advances - No romantic or sexual intent, advances, or content

  • Dating or matchmaking - Orbit is not a dating platform

  • Inappropriate content - No sexual, explicit, or inappropriate content

Harassment and Abuse

  • Harassment - No harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind

  • Discrimination - No discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic

  • Abusive behavior - No abusive, threatening, or violent behavior

  • Stalking - No stalking, following, or unwanted contact

Fraud and Misrepresentation

  • Fake profiles - No fake, fraudulent, or impersonation accounts

  • Misrepresentation - No false, misleading, or inaccurate information

  • Scams - No scams, fraud, or deceptive practices

  • Identity theft - No use of others' identities or information

Platform Abuse

  • Spam - No spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content

  • Circumventing fees - No attempts to avoid platform fees or conduct transactions outside the Platform

  • Multiple accounts - No creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans

  • Automated systems - No use of bots, scripts, or automated systems

Illegal Activities

  • Illegal activities - No activities that violate local, state, or federal laws

  • Drugs or alcohol - No illegal drug use or underage alcohol consumption

  • Weapons - No weapons or dangerous items (unless part of a legitimate, legal activity)

  • Human trafficking - No human trafficking, exploitation, or related activities

Other Prohibited Conduct

  • Privacy violations - No sharing others' personal information without consent

  • Intellectual property - No infringement of copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property

  • Interference - No interference with platform operations or other users' experiences

  • Violation of terms - No violation of Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or other agreements

Reporting and Enforcement

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness a violation of these Guidelines:

  1. Report immediately - Use in-app reporting features or contact support@orbitplatformhq.com

  2. Provide details - Include screenshots, messages, or other evidence when possible

  3. Be specific - Describe the violation clearly and accurately

  4. Follow up - Orbit will investigate and respond to all reports

Enforcement Actions

Orbit takes violations seriously and may take the following enforcement actions:

  • Warning - For minor or first-time violations

  • Temporary suspension - For repeated or moderate violations

  • Permanent ban - For serious violations or repeated offenses

  • Legal action - For illegal activities or severe violations

Appeal Process

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error:

  • Contact support - Reach out to support@orbitplatformhq.com

  • Provide context - Explain your situation and provide any relevant information

  • Be patient - Orbit will review appeals and respond within a reasonable timeframe

  • Fair enforcement - Applying Guidelines consistently and fairly

  • Thorough investigation - Reviewing all reports carefully and thoroughly

  • User safety - Prioritizing safety in all enforcement decisions

  • Transparency - Communicating enforcement actions clearly when appropriate

Acceptance and Agreement

Agreement to Guidelines

By using the Orbit platform, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Community Guidelines

  • You agree to be bound by these Guidelines

  • You agree to comply with all obligations set forth herein

  • You understand the consequences of violations

Acceptance Methods

You accept these Guidelines by:

  • Creating an account - Account creation requires acceptance of Community Guidelines

  • Booking an activity - Guests must accept Community Guidelines before booking (required)

  • Using the Platform - Continued use of the Platform after Guidelines are updated constitutes acceptance

Withdrawal

If you do not agree to these Guidelines, you must not use the Orbit platform. You may withdraw your acceptance by:

  • Deleting your account - Terminate your account through account settings

  • Stopping use - Cease all use of the Platform

Note: You remain bound by these Guidelines for any activities or interactions that occurred prior to withdrawal.

Updates to Guidelines

Orbit may update these Guidelines from time to time. When we make significant changes:

  • We will notify users - Through in-app notifications, email, or other reasonable means

  • Updated Guidelines apply - Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance

  • Review regularly - We encourage you to review these Guidelines periodically
